Initials and names
The classic, and the most requested. A few characters on the blade or bolster personalise a piece without weighing it down.

Engraving workshop
A name, a date, a few words, a company logo. Engraving turns a good knife into someone's knife, and that is often what makes the difference for a gift.
What gets engraved
Engraving is done at the workshop, to order: a first name, a logo, a signature or a particular motif, on knives made here as well as on a piece you bring in. It can be worked from a file you supply, in a format suited to engraving.
The classic, and the most requested. A few characters on the blade or bolster personalise a piece without weighing it down.
A line for a birthday, a retirement, a wedding. The text is set before engraving and agreed with you.
For corporate gifts and short runs. The logo is taken from a vector file, or redrawn if you do not have one.
Borders, motifs taken from a fabric, series marking. This is where engraving meets the workshop's drawing work.
Typefaces
The range of available typefaces is very wide, and it grows on request: if the one you want is not there, it gets downloaded.
A plate of engraved samples can be seen at the workshop: it is the best way to judge how the lettering really sits on steel, which a screen never quite conveys.
How it works
You give the exact wording and where you want it. We choose the typeface together, or use the default one if you would rather not think about it.
The text is set and positioned on the piece, to scale. You approve it before the machine touches the steel: engraving cannot be undone.
Engraving, inspection, and restoring the finish around the lettering where needed.
